PATIENTS AT KNOX HOME ENTERTAINED
VICTORIA LEAGUE EVER-READY COMMITTEE A most enjoyable party was given by the Victoria League Ever-Ready Committee, when nine motor-cars filled with members and friends drove out to the Knox Home on Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Thomson brought a splendid collection of magazines and papers, which were distributed. Mrs. Arthur Bullock arranged a most charming entertainment, the following taking part:—Pianoforte solo. Mrs. Moseley; songs. Mrs. Kenny, Mrs. Sullivan, Miss Rose Kennedy and Miss Flora Robertson: violin solo, Miss Dewing: recitations and sketches, Miss Eileen Adkins and Miss Fay Reynolds; accompanists. Mrs. Dewing, Mrs. Irene Robertson, and Miss Joyce Porter. Mr. McLean, one of the patients, played a 'cello solo, which was much appreciated. Tobacco and sweets were distributed among the patients, and afternoon tea and chatting brought a very happy' afternoon to an end. Among those present were: Mrs. J. B. Macfarlane, chairmair of the EverReady Committee: Mrs. Rickerby, Miss E. Keesing, Mrs. Wyber, Mrs. Ambury, Mrs. Thomson, Mrs. Skeates, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Dowell, Mrs. Griffiths, Mrs. Fitchett. Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Ansrwin, Mrs Abbott, Mrs. Knell. Mrs. McGuire, Mrs. Cerutty, Mrs. Kohn, Mrs. Worrall, Mrs. Bullock, Mrs. Sytnes, Mrs. Gulliver, Misses Murray (2), Teape, Keesing, Calder, Messrs. S. Chambers, Thomson, Wyber and Ambury
