BRIGHT DANCE AT KING’S COLLEGE
OLD BOYS’ ANNUAL FUNCTION COLLEGE COLOURS DECORATE ASSEMBLY HALL Bright flags and palms decorated the entrance lounge at King’s College last evening, when the Old Boys’ Association held its annual dance in the assembly hall. The hall itself was looped with streamers # in the college colours of red and gold. Tlio guests were greeted ' r the reception hall by the Rev. H. K. Archda 11 and Mrs. Archdall. and by Mr. Sinclair Held, president of the Old Hoys’ Association, and Mrs. Reid. Mrs. Archdall was gowned in camellia pink georgette, the flounced skirt dipping to the ankles, and she carried a posy of violets presented to her by Mrs. J. Roberton. Mrs. Reid wore ficelle tinted moire, smartly draped. AMONG THOSE PRESENT Mrs. Guy Batger had on rose and gold brocaded georgette. Mrs. J. Roberton was gowned in shaded vefvet mt> ° SSe d chenille georgette and ring Mrs. Revel 1 was wearing a frock of burgundy red ring velvet. Mrs. R. H. Marryatt had on a frock of black taffeta with a velvet hem appliqued with coloured flowers, Mrs. G. Eddowes chose a gown of powder blue crepe do soie embroidered with pink and blue rosebuds. Mrs. Ji. Atkinson Abbott wore a gown of bois de rose satin beaute and tulle. Mrs. Wales chose a gown of flame georgette. Mrs. Pringle wore a frock of black floral chiffon. Mrs. P. Erson’s frock was of black georgette embroidered with diamcnte. Mrs. C. Salmon’s frock was of almond green georgette. Sister Mawhinney had chosen a frock of black satin relieved with royal blue. Mrs. Prime was gowned in peach georgette with panels of spotted tulle. Miss Joan Heather was froeked in opalescent sequined chiffon with shoulder spray of capucine and blue tones. Miss Bernice Ogilvie had on ivory moire with crystal beads outlining the tulle yoke.
Miss Joan Hankin was wearing an attractive frock of chartreuse green faille. Miss Molly Overton’s frock was of ivory chenille embossed georgette. Miss Miriam Coutts was frocked in ivory ring velvet and tulle. Miss Doris Duder's frock was of turquoise blue faille and silk net. Miss Helen Burnside’s gown was of cameo pink taffeta sprigged with blue. Miss Sybil Ab-Kay bad on silver lame with bouffant skirt of ivory tulle. Miss Dorothy Evans had chosen shell pink ninon with frills defining the hemline. Miss Elliott had on a gown of phlox pink embroidered chiffon. Miss Irene Isaacs was wearing cameo chenille embossed chiffon. Miss Lazarus was gowned in deepest midnight blue satin beaute. Miss Jean Deighton was wearing a frock of apple-green taffeta. Miss Kingston wore a pretty frock of blue taffeta appliqued with mauve velvet flowers. Miss Rona Anderson s frock was of apricot moire. Miss Sybil Davis had chosen a gown of powder blue panne velvet. Miss Marjorie Herbert wore a flame velvet and taffeta gown. Miss Dorothy Lewisham was wearing a mist pink satin beaute frock. Miss Peggy O’Neill was wearing water nymph green velvet and chiffon. . Miss Audrey Garland had chosen palefct primrose floral ninon. Miss Wilson was gowned in powder blue embossed taffeta. Miss McVane had on a gown of unrelieved black georgette. „ , . Miss Hill chose a dance frock of beige georgette and lace. Miss Tong was gowned in willow green taffeta embroidered with. gold floral Miss Paquita Corbin’s frock was of liberty blue taffeta and silver lace. Miss Nerelle Closs had on a pretty frock of apricot georgette. . Miss Dix chose a gown of cameo pink georgette.
