The festival of St. Bartholomew’ will be celebrated at the Cathedral, Parnell. Canon Fancourt will conduct both services. Canon Grant Cowen will conduct the morning service at St. Matthew's. Wellesley Street. In the evening a special service of thanksgiving for the safety of tho passengers and crew of the Tahiti will be conducted by the Rev. H. K. Vickery. “Unavoidable Trouble” will be the Rev. W. Lawson Marsh’s subject at the morning service at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Devonport. A special Scottish Covenanters’ service will be conducted at the Balmoral Presbyterian Church tomorrow evening. The Rev. W. Gilmour will preach and Mr. J. Howie, president of the St. Andrew’s Society, will read the lessons. * * <= “Under tho Fig Tree” will be the Rev. T. N. Cuttle’s subject at the evening service in the Somervell Presbyterian Church, Remuera. Morning and evening services will he held at the Auckland Higher Though Temple. In the morning Mr. T. W. Silcock’s subject will be “Wait on the Lord.” In the evening Mr. H. F. Robinson will speak on “Triumph Over Trouble.” Mr. Arnold Schultze will speak at the Y.M.C.A. men’s brotherhood meeting tomorrow afternoon. Tlie Rev. E. T. Olds will preach at the morning service of the Methodist Central Mission, Airedale Street. In the evening Mr. Leppard will preach at France Street. * * * Mr. Taylor will speak on "God Manifest in the Flesh,” at the Christadelphians* meeting in the Freemasons* Hall, Belgium Street. * => At the Christian Spiritualist Church, Mackelvie Street. Mrs. Philpott will give an address on “His Glory is Great.” Mi\ R. T. Reid will speak on “Leaven” at the International Bible Students’ evening meeting in the Masonic Hall. Edinburgh Street. # The Rev. \V. Walker will conduct' both services at the Pitt Street Methodist Church. The subject in the morning will be “How God Nurtures the Soul,” and in the evening. “Facing the Sunrise.” Solos will be given by Miss Lilian Ellison and Mr. J. Littler. The Rev. George Frost is the preacher for St. John’s Methodist Church. Ponsonbv Road. The subject of the morning address is “Dayspringing Mercies.” At the people’s service in the evening the subject will be “The Personal Note.”
“Mind" will be the subject .it the morning? service in the first Church, of Christ, Scientist, Symonds Street. * * * At the Beresford Street Congregational Church, Mr. J. Gordon Smith will speak at the men’s meeting in the morning on *‘A Good Soldier of Jesus Christ.’* The Rev. Albert V. Whiting » subject in the morning will be “Out in the Wilderness,” and in the evening. “Man, in a World of Mystery.* The special series of Unity li.il! lectures on “Spiritualism” will be continued by Mr. H. Yolland. who will speak on “Spiritualism, and the Life Beyond,” tomorrow afternoon. * * * The Rev. A. S. Wilson will conduct, the morning and evening services the Grange Road Baptist Church. Three Revival Fire services will held in the Covenant Hall, Welle . Street, by Mr. A. H. Dallimore.
