RUGBY UNION SUED
HIRER OF MEN WHO LOST PLACES IN QUEUE BLAME LAID ON OFFICIALS Press Association WELLINGTON, Today The ’Wellington Rugby Union is not yet free of its Test troubles for the season. It has to face another one in an action which is being brought by Gerald Bell, who is suing for £74 odd, money lost because his all-night "waiters” in the queue at Athletic Park were deprived of their places allegedly through the union’s officials not having taken precautions to preserve the "first come, first served” order in the queue. The Rugby union’s position, it is stated, is that it never undertook to supervise the queue and was only concerned in selling on the “first come, first served" system at the box office.
