PIPIRIKI FROM NEW YORK.—The A. and A. Line’s chartered steamer Pipiriki is reported to have left New York on Tuesday for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Sydney. The vessel is due at Auckland on September 20.

AORANGI LEAVES SYDNEY.—The Royal Mail liner Aorangi left Sydney at 5 o’clock last evening for Vancouver, via Auckland, Suva and Honolulu. The vessel is due at Auckland at 6 o’clock on Monday morning and she is to resume her voyage at 11 o’clock on Tuesday morning.

MAM ILI US LEAVES NEWCASTLE.— The Shaw, Savill Company has received cabled news that the Mamilius left Newcastle on Tuesday for Bluff, where she is due tomorrow to commence her homeward loading. She will subsequently complete at Port Chalmers, Lyttelton. New Plymouth, Wanganui and Wellington. The vessel is scheduled to clear Wellington finally on September 16 for London. Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, via Montevideo.

CORINTHIC DUE 9 P.M.—The White Stfir liner Corinthic cleared Napier yesterday afternon for Auckland to complete her cargo for London. By radio she reports that she expects to arrive in port at 9 o’clock tonight, and tomorrow morning she will berth at Queen’s Wharf to load under the agency of A. S. Paterson and Co., Ltd. With passengers and mails she is to be dispatched finally from Auckland at 5 p.m. on August 27 for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal.

ULIMAROA SAILS.—With passengers, mails, and cargo, the Huddart-Parker Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Ulimaroa was dispatched shortly after eleven o’clock this morning for Sydney, where she is due on Tuesday morning.

THE MAKURA.—The Union Company advises that the R.AI.S. Alakura, from San Francisco, via Papeete, cleared Rarotonga on Tuesday for Wellington. She is due there on .Monday morning and will leave again the following afternoon for Sydney. PORT ALMA AT NAPIER.—The Commonwealth and Dominion Line motorship Port Alma arrived at Napier at 8.3 U a m yesterday from Wellington to complete discharge of her cargo from London. The Port Ai: I is scheduled to leave Napier tomorrow ior Townville. SOUTHERN CROSS BERTHS.—The Melanesian Alission steamer Southern Cross, which returned to Auckland from the mission stations in the South-west Pacific on June 29, berthed yesterday morning at Central Wharf to take in stores before sailing for the Islands on September 9. THE CANADIAN LEADER.—Canadian National Steamships have received cabled news that the Canadian Leader, en route from Montreal to Auckland, cleared the Panama Canal last Friday. She is due at Auckland on September 12, and later proceeds to Australian ports to complete discharge. WAIRUNA LEAVES LOS ANGELES. —The Union Company has received cabled news that the Wairuna cleared Los Angeles on Saturday last with Pacific Coast cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Alelbourne and Sydney. She is due at Auckland on September 10. RAPID DISCHARGING.—The Com--1 monwealth and Dominion Line’s steamer Port Alma, which arrived at Auckland from London on August 10. has created a record for the port of Wellington by discharging 2,100 tons of general merchandise with eight gangs on last Tuesday. I RAISDALE FOR WELLINGTON.— Messrs. Russell and Somers advise that the steamer Raisdale, at present at King’s Wharf discharging the local part of her cargo of jar rah from Bunbury, is to sail for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete unloading. Efforts are ,being made to dispatch her at about 6 o’clock this evening. REMUE ftA •s MOVEMENTS. —The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Remuera left New Plymouth at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon for Port Chalmers. She will afterward continue loading at Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. The vessel is due at Wellington on August 30, and she is to sail at noon on September 2 for Southampton and London, via Panama and Curacao. RANGITANE’S FAST PASSAGE. —The New Zealand Shipping Company has received cabled advice that its motor-liner Rangitane reached Southampton on Wednesday morning from Wellington, after a fast passage, her net sailing time being 31 days 9 hours. The Rangitane was dispatched from Wellington on the morning of July 19 with passengers, mail and cargo for Southampton and London. THE ANTEN.—Cabled advice states that the Swedish steamer Anten, which is to load at and leave Scandinavian ports for New Zealand shortly, will now come via South Africa and Australia. She was originally to have come direct. She will bring cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff, and her local agent is the New Zealand Shipping Company. RANGITIKI LOADING.—The New Zealand Shipping Company’s motor-ship Rangitiki left Port Chalmers on Wednesday for Bluff, to complete discharge of her London cargo, and to commence her Homeward loading. She will subsequently load at Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier, Tokomaru Bay and Auckland. The vessel is due here on September 11 and is scheduled to clear this port on September 16 for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal. RADIO FROM lONIC.—A wireless message received by L. D. Nathan, Ltd., from the White Star liner lonic, en route from London and Southampton to Auckland, states that she expects to reach Tiritiri Island at 1 p.m. on Tuesday. The vessel should thereupon arrive in port at about 2.15 p.m. She has 162 passengers for New Zealand and also 895 bags of mails, comprising both letters and parcels. She will berth about an hour after her arrival in the stream, but no berth had been assigned her this morning. She also has a cargo of general merchandise which she will put out at this port and at Wellington. THE PARRAKOOLA.—Advice received from Spedding, Ltd., states that although it was intended to postpone the departure of the Swedish motor-ship Parrakoola from San Francisco for New Zealand for a few days in order to allow shippers to send cargo by her that would in the ordinary course be dispatched by the Tahiti, it has been ascertained that inland cargo cannot reach San Francisco in.time for the vessel, and she will, therefore, leave that port on her scheduled date, which is tomorrow. She has general Pacific Coast cargo and cargo from Scandinavian ports for discharge at Auckland, Wellington and Australian ports. En route she will call, on September 3. at Niue Island, to pick up the Maui Pomare’s fruit consignment, and she is due at Auckland on September 9.

FERNWOOD CLEARS BALBOA.— Cabled advice received by Henderson and Macfarlane, Ltd., states that the Norwegian motor-ship Fernwood. en route from New Orleans and Tampico to New Zealand, cleared Balboa yesterday. The vessel is now expected to arrive at her first discharging port, Auckland, on September 12. ARGYLLSHIRE DUE TOMORROW.— Having left Tokomaru Bay at 8 o'clock this morning, the New Zealand Shippm* Company’s steamer Argyllshire is due at this port tomorrow morning to complete her Homeward loading. She has been sllotted a berth at Queen’s Wharf. The vessel is to sail finally from here rn August 27 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow, via the Panama Canal.
