AT ROSEHILL TOMORROW MANY NEW ZEALANDERS IN United P.A.—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, Thursday. Limerick is an acceptor for the Dundas Handicap, seven furlongs, at Rosehill races on Saturday. He has been given top weight, 10.3. In The Shade will carry top weight. 9.4, in the Rosehill August Handicap. Craigavon is to be sent back to New Zealand by the Maunganui tomorrow. DOMINION HORSES ENTERED The following New Zealand horses were included in the nominations for tomorrow’s fixture a£ Rosehill: Maiden Hurdles, of £200; about two miles.—Satrap and Kilperon (both exNew Zealanders), Dundas Handicap, of £200; seven furlongs.—Goshawk, Limerick. Eaglet, First Acre, and the following ex-New Zealanders: High Disdain, Prince Otto, Lord Romeo, Gesto, Raasay, Vallar, and Chide. Granville Stakes, of £200: nine furlongs.—Dunraven and I’m Alone. Rosehill August Handicap, of £250; one mile three furlongs.—Arikiwai, In The Shade, First Acre, and the following ex-New Zealanders: Becalmed and Dalston. Three and Four-years-old Handicap, of £200; seven furlongs—Full Measure, Sargon, King March, Bayacre, and the following ex-New Zealanders: Auda, Goldminer, Tray mobile, and Huntique. Parramatta Mile, of £200: one mile. —Goshawk, Dunraven, Eaglet, Vali, King March, Mithra, and the following ex-New Zealanders: Ampilifier, Crown Area, Star God, Ring Boy, Raasay, Papatu, and Puff.
RISK’S NEXT
Risk and Evening Hero are to compete at the Hawke’s Bay Hunt Meeting. Risk will again be ridden by H. Gordon, who rode the gelding when he won the Manawatu Hunt Cup at the end of last month. No rider has as yet been engaged for Evening Hero The Rangitero gelding likes the top of the ground, and he has found the Hastings track to his liking in the past. On Thursday morning at Awapuni, in company with another jumper from L. Knapp’s team, Risk did a round of the big fences in excellent style, while Evening Hero was associated with Pahu in a gallop over five furlongs on the plough, which was accomplished in 1.8 1-5. NEW ZEALAND CUP Nominations for the New Zealand Cup close at eight o’clock this (Friday) evening, with the secretary of the Canterbury Jockey Club. The race is to be run on November 8, and Mr. J. E. Henrys’s handicaps are due on September 29. Winners of any race of the value £3OO, or of races to the value of £SOO, are liable to be rehandicapped, the maximum weight to be 9.6. or in the case of penalties, the weight-for-age scale will not be exceeded.
