UNEMPLOYED WOMEN

PROTEST AGAINST EXCLUSION « The exclusion of women from the provisions of the Unemployed Insurance Bill provoked the following message from the Tailoresses’ Union, a copy of which is being telegraphed to the Minister of Labour, and to Mr. H. E. Holland, Leader of the Labour Party: "On behalf of thousands of women workers, I ask your Government if it has considered the exclusion of women workers from the Unemployment Insurance Bill from a moral standpoint? We strongly protest against preferential treatment to male workers unemployed, and ask how unemployed women have to live? The morals of the country are at stake. Think well.”
