TWENTY GIRLS INJURED IN BIG CITY FIRE.—One of the most sensational fires seen in Auckland in recent years broke out yesterday, when the premises of the Plummer Hat Company, in Rutland Street, were completely gutted. Many of the girls, who were trapped on the first floor by the flames, jumped or fell from the windows and twenty were slightly injured. The pictures show, left: The flame-enveloped building.
