MAORI CONCERT

A bumper house is expected at the Maori concert to be given by, the boys and girls of St. Stephen’s and Queen Victoria Schools, at the Town Hall on Friday evening. Traditional songs, ceremonies, hakas, dances and games will be given, even the National Anthem being sung in Maori by the combined choir. Items will also be given by the Civic Orchestra and Mr. Stan Pritchard (vocalist). The last occasion on which a concert of this nature was given the Town Hall was well filled. Tomorrow’s concert should prove even a bigger attraction.
