MANDATE WILL IMPROVE TO RACE AT ELLERSLIE The Awapuni-trained hunter Man-, date was not seasoned enough to show his best form at the Manawatu Racing Club’s meeting recently, but nevertheless he ran two fair races in the Hunters’ Hurdles and Hunters’ Steeplechase. Mandate comes North for the Pakuranga Hunt Club meeting on Saturday, and a slight improvement on Awapuni running will find him dangerous in any of his engagements.
