SANDRINGHAM EXTENSION

The chairman of the Mt. Roskill Road Board, Nix*. R. F. Jones, is not opposed to the extension of the tram tracks from the present Sandringham terminus to Vincent Road.

Mr. Jones took exception at a meeting of the board on Tuesday to the action of some residents in the vicinity of Vincent Road in requesting the Transport Board not to extend the trams at all, unless the tracks were taken to Vincent Road.

The Transport Board intends in any case to take the trams to the intersection of Mt. Albert Road and Mr. Jones and his board agree that this work would be of benefit to the district, even if the Transport Board feels unable to take the track as far as Vincent Road,
