TURF CLUB REMAINS
MOTION TO CLOSE DOWN HEAVILY DEFEATED RUMOUR OF BANKRUPTCY BRISBANE, Tuesday. Mr. T. Jack’s motion for the dissolution of the Brisbane Amateur Turf ( lub was defeated today at the annual meeting by an overwhelming majority. Mr. Jack caused a sensation by giv“g notice of his intention to move, at annual meeting, that the club be '•solved owing to it being unable to (7?®?* its financial obligations. The jUb had made an average annual proj £30,000 in the seven years prior year, when it dropped to t 13,000.
