Wynyard, motorists’ representative on the Main Highways Board, left for Wellington last evening to attend a meeting of the board. E. P. Moir, traffic assistant to the divisional railways superintendent for the North Island, is indisposed and will probably not be able to resume duty for some weeks. Mr. C. Deane, who has been transferred from Melbourne to be assistantmanager of the Vacuum Oil Company Proprietary, Ltd., in Auckland, arrived by the Ulimaroa yesterday. Vfter being a month under treatment Thomas Sidey left the Bowen Street Hospital on Monday, reports our Wellington correspondent. Sir Thomas is greatly improved in health, nd there is every indication that his operation will prove successful, lie has been out and about for the past few days, though still officially an invalid, and has even visited Parliament.
