SHAKESPEARE CLUB READING The Hamilton Shakespeare Club on Thursday evening gave a splendid reading of that most amusing comedy. “The Limpet/’ by Woodhouse and MacClure. The large audience enjoyed a hearty laugh from beginning to end. The choice of readers as usual was most successful, the parts being allotted to Mr. H. T ' Alorton. who was Ferkins; Air. W. TAU WHARE CHILDREN’S FANCY DRESS BALL A very successful children’s fancy dress ball was held in Tauwharo Ilail on Friday evening to raise funds for tlio Plunket Society. An energetic committee of women. Mrs. p. Dingle, Mrs. F. Massey, Mrs. Nicholls and Mrs Cleland, had spent much time in making the hall attractive with masses of wattle, ferns and multi-coloured streamers, which made a fitting setting of the gay throng of happy childprizes were given by the organisers and by Mr. Cross, of Tauwliare. The judges were Mrs. D. May, Mrs. C. If. Holloway and T. Shaw, of the Hamilton Plunket committee. Mrs. Hay. president of the society, heartily congratulated all the helpers on their successful undertaking.
