THANKS TO POWER BOARD

GOOD WORK IN EMERGENCY Thanks to the Auckland ElectricPower Board in its handling of the power situation caused by the disaster at Arapuni was made by members of the Manukau County Council at a meeting today. Mr. S. W. Rickards said that local bodies in the power board’s area owed their thanks to the board in dealing with the situation. The board had handled the position in a businesslike way and had saved Auckland and jts suburbs from a serious power shortage. Ho moved that the council express its thanks to the members of the board and its staff. Other councillors supported the resolution, which was carried unanimously.
