WEEKLY DANCE
A KARANA YACHT CLUB The weekly dance of the Akarana Yacht Club was held on Saturday evening. There was a large number of dancers present and novelties and streamers contributed to the gaiety. Stacey’s Revellers provided excellent music. The committee members present were:—Airs. Webster, in cream georgette; Aliss Ratcliffs, flame satin; .Aliss Vercoe, apple-green crepe de chine; Aliss Hanlon, pink taffeta. Among those present were; Mrs. Crompton, Aliss D, Kelsall, maize net over satin; Aliss J. AlcLeod (Wliitianga), lacquer red velvet; Miss Yallely, apple-green taffeta; Aliss Plowman, champagne lace and satin: Aliss B. Anderson, flame velvet; Miss J. Coleman, black t:repe de chine and lace; Aliss G. Ale AI ilia n, peach satin; Miss J. Black, ivory crepe satin; Aliss L. Gussey, black and red satin; Aliss I. McAlillan, midnight blue satin; Miss D. Christie, shellpink taffeta; Aliss G. Sharp, floral crepe de chine; Aliss M. Clayton, apricot crepe de chine; Miss Smith, eau de nil chenille georgette and frilled georgette; Aliss D. O’Brien, midnight blue crepe* de chine and silver; Aliss Craig, mauve lame and crepe de chine; Aliss P. Bell, apricot satin and silver lace; Aliss AI. Jensen, royal blue satin; Aliss X. Cordts, jade green chenille georgette and crepe de chine; Miss J. Thomas, black ring velvet and satin: Aliss P. Drew, ivory* lace: Miss E. Rogers, gold tinsel and rose taffeta; Miss G. Howell, black satin: Aliss A. Willetts, lemon georgette; Aliss J. 'White, green shot taffeta.
