“THE BAD ONE”
COMING TO THE NEW REGENT That Dolores Del Rio is a comedienne as well as an emotional actress is demonstrated in the star’s first alltalking picture for United Artists, “The Bad One,” which is coming shortly to the New Regent Theatre, with Edmund Lowe. The first half of the picture shows the inimitable star of “What Price Glory,” “Ramona” and “Resurrection” as a vixenish hoyden of the Marseilles, France, cabarets. As the picture draws to a conclusion, however, the star is called upon to exercise all of her talents in pathos. “The Bad One,” directed by George Fitmaurice, brings together Miss Del Rio and Edmund Lowo for the first time since their memorable “What Price Glory.” Their roles in this newest picture are reminiscent of their first appearance because of the vigorous characterisations they are called upon to play.
