CRYSTAL PALACE AND EMPRESS
In “The Night Parade” at both the Crystal Palace (Mount Eden) and Empress- (Newton) Theatres. The director has dipped his camera lents and his microphone into Broadway after dark and has given the eye and ear intimate contact with the romance, intrigue, sorrows and joys of the tinselled throngs. One of the screen's favourites in amorous roles—a standing she has obtained as a brunette —has turned blonde. Aileen Pringle makes her debut as a member of the body of women gentlemen are supposed to prefer in “Night Parade.” . Splendid talkie features are being shown in support at both theatres. Richard Arlen has started work on “The Sea God,” the all-talking picturisation of John Russell’s thrilling adventure story. Fay Wray is appearI ing opposite the star, and Eugene Palj lette, Robert Gleckler, Maurice Black, | and Ivan Simpson head the support.
