Messrs. A. Marks, Jones, <\ If. Wills and Captain Ashdown© will be passengers for Wellington by tonight’s Limited express. They will interview the Minister of Marine in connection with Harbour Bridge business. Mr. Wilhelm Backliaus arrived in Wellington on Friday after a. brief visit to the Franz Josef Glacier. He will later come to Auckland, sailing from here for Australia and Europe. He is accompanied by Mrs. Backliaus.

Mr. W. Russell-Wood left for Wellington last evening by train and will proceed to Grevmouth to act as judge at the competitions. He hopes to visit the Franz Josef Glacier before returning to Auckland early in September. Mr. S. E. Wright, secretary of the Auckland Provincial Employers* Association, lefc last evening by train on his way to Christchurch to attend a Conciliation Council meeting in connection with the engineering trades dispute. Adjutant and Mrs. S. Green have been appointed to the command of the Wellington City Salvation Army Corps.
