Ll trin*» nee A he n ' lade a successD * li oht Auckla nd with Great J h « Beak x hat horse was at tp »inep u f i? ,s * orrn . the Ashhurst r *Bular r>^4. Garnett ’ has become a Apart P tron of lo cal meetings, flight at?! 71 ,he success of Great the winter carnival of 1929,

the genial Harry has led in Audo Spray a winner at Alexandra Park, besides getting a fair share of place money with the trotter. When the Ashhurst enthusiast was last in Auckland he informed “Abaydos” that Great Delight was showing return to form, and since then the Kea Dillon gelding has raced at Christchurch, and although he did not score a win his form was suggestive of a stake shortly, and his turn may come at Epsom. Bonniewali, another member of Garnett’s string, is not a stranger to these parts, as she was formerly trained by J. T. Paul for Mr. F. I. Docherty. Last season she showed fair form when taken over f by the A.shhurst trainer and she may be right for early spring racing.

The other candidate in the" Garnett entry is Lady Jewel, a mare that some 18 months back went a smart mile at Hawera. She has not raced for some time, but if brought North it can be taken as a sign she is O.K. again.
