Hawks pilot' ing the Travel - Air Mystery Ship “ Texaco 13,** flew across the North American Continent (2,500 miles) from New York to Los Angeles in the 1 astonishing time of 14 hours and 50 minutes, breaking the previous record by 3 on August 13th the return journey from West to East was flown in 12 hours 25 minutes or 2 hours 20 minutes less than ever before.
