POWER BOARD GROWS

RECEIPTS IN WAITEMATA A further increase in receipts for power supplied was noted last month by the Waitemata Electric-Power Board. This morning the treasurer, Mr. A. Main, reported that the gross sale of current amounted to £5,739 12s 2d, an increase of £343 over the same month of last year. The total for the four months up to the end of July was £26,880 7s 3d, and over this period discounts amounting to £3,502 had been allowed customers. There had been increases in every branch except tho, supply of industrial power last month. During this period 60 new consumers had been linked up, bringing the total now supplied up to 7,702- The greatest* growth was at Takapuna, Devon port showing an unexpected decrease from a steady average of between 16 and 20 to only three.
