RIDE GF 233 MILES MOTOR CYCLING SPORT Thirty-one motor-cyclists left Auckland this afternoon on tho annual reliability test for the Pasco© Cup. They will cover 233 miles before they return to the City tomorrow afternoon. Tlie trial this year will be more along the lines of those held regularly in England. Three trade teams have been entered by two different motor representatives, and there are also four club teams competing. Two are from the Sports Motor-Cycle Club, which has organised the event, and two from the North Shore MotorCycle and Sports Club. Members of teams will also be eligible for the individual awards. Tho first rider left Newmarket at 1.35 this afternoon, the others following at one-minute intervals. The route to Pokeno will be covered at an average speed of 2 5 miles an hour, and the trip across the Hauraki Plains to Thames at a 23 m.p.h. average. Tomorrow morning competitors will leave Thames at 9 o’clock and travel through Paeroa, Te Aroha, Morrinsville and Ohinewai to Rangiriri, where a halt will be made for dinner. The return to Auckland will be through Opuatai. Pukekohe and Bombay. Competitors will be expected to average certain specified speeds over various sections of the route, every minute late at a check counting one point against and every minute early two points. Tool-kite have been sealed, and the breaking of this seal for roadside repairs will involve a loss of 50 points. The same loss will follow a major breakage, such as of a frame. Lost parts will cost 10 points. There will bo a number of secret time checks and an easystarting test.

Competitors will check in at the Burns Statue in the Domain about 4 p.m. tomorrow.
