TURF CLUB BANKRUPT
MEMBER CAUSES SENSATION BY ANNOUNCEMENT STEADY ANNUAL PROFIT BRISBANE, Friday. Mr. T. Jack, a member of the Brisbane Amateur Turf Club, has caused a sensation by giving notice of his intention to move at the annual meeting that the club be dissolved owing to it being unable to meets its financial obligations. The club had made an average annual profit of £30,000 in the seven years prior to last year when it dropped to £13,000.
