"There is no need for panic and no reason to doubt that our difficulties can be met and overcome.” A financial conference of Prime Ministers and State Treasurers is being held at Melbourne on Monday. The New South Wales and Victoria Railway Commissioners have lodged applications before the Federal Arbitration Court for a variation of the existing Federal awards and for reduction in wages.
