He chose Lucy, the youngest of the four daughters of a Polish co-religionist. According to the orthodox Jewish custom, the bride kept her face covered throughout the evening of her wedding which was celebrated at midnight. After the ceremony the bridegroom lifted the bride’s veil and was shocked to find that he had married Lucy’s eldest sister, Rose. The bridegroom fainted. His father intends to institute divorce proceedings on his behalf.
