BRIDE CARRIES CAMELLIAS AND ST. JOSEPH LILIES

CAMERON— BOYES A very pretty wedding was celebrated by the Rev. W. W. Averill at All Saints’ Church, Ponsonby, recently, when Lilian, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Boyes, Ponsonby, was married to Robert Frederick, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Cameron, of Ellerslie. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was charmingly gowned in ivory satin, having long tight-fitting sleeves and bodice with double llared skirt dipping to the ankles at the back. The veil of embroidered tulle was worn close fitting on the head with clusters of orange blossom over each ear and falling softly over the shoulders to form a train. She carried a shower bouquet of St. Joseph lilies, white camellias and maidenhair fern. Miss Lola Boyes, sister of the bride, and Miss Audrey Haslam were bridesmaids, wearing frocks of nattier blue and shell pink georgette respectively fashioned alike with flared skirts dipping to ankle-length at the back and finished with a hand-painted panel down the front. They wore bridge coats of silk lace and georgette and tulle hats to match their frocks. Each carried a bouquet to tone. The little flower girl. Gwen Roper, wore an ankle-length frock of primrose taffeta trimmed with pink rosebuds and a juliet cap to tone. She c arried a posy of sweet peas and cyclamen.

The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Alien Chapman as best man and Mr. Jack Boyes as groomsman. The reception was held at the Penrith Tea Rooms, where Mrs. Boyes received the guests wearing a black crepe de chine frock, with hat to tone, and she carried a bouquet of red roses and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom’s mother wore navy and fawn c repe de chine, with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of autumn tints.
