WELLINGTON DOCK
BIG CONTRACT ARRANGED IN ENGLAND TO BE TOWED OUT Reed. 12.55 p.m. LONDON, Thurs. The contract for the Wellington floating dock has been placed with Swan, Hunter, Wigham and'Richardson, the builders of the Singapore dock. It will be 540 ft long and 117 ft broad, with a lifting capacity of 17.000 tons. The towagee of the dock to New Zealand will constitute the largest dock tow on record.
