DRUG SMUGGLERS LOSE
CARGO WORTH £15,000 SEIZED ON SHIP JAPANESE ARRESTED Reed. 9.30 a.m. DELHI, Thursday. Cocaine weighing 250 ounces and valued at £15,000, was discovered ingeniously concealed in a consignment of porcelain tiles aboard the Japanese steamer Seale Maru. Customs officers also discovered a large quantity in tins of preserved fruit among the cargo of the same ship, and it is believed the officers have unearthed a widespread conspiracy to distribute cocaine throughout British Malaya, Burma and India. Three members of a Japanese firm have been arrested and are being sent to Japan for trial.
