CRYSTAL PALACE, MOUNT EDEN

The artificial glamour, which goes hand in hand with the night life of New York, is clearly brought out in “The Woman Racket,” the production which is being showfi at the Crystal Palace Theatre.

Two capable players are seen in the principal roles. Tom Moore, who has achieved fame mainly for his characterisation as a police officer, has the part of a detective sergeant, and as a 'night club hostess Blanche Sweet sings some very entertaining songs. Convinced of the emptiness of her life, she renounces the gay lights of Broadway and marries a policeman who had permitted her to escape during a raid.
