“PAY-UP” SOCIAL

ONEHUNGA W.C.T.U. Tho Onehunga W.C.T.U. held a “pay up” social on Thursday. Airs. Stacey .was elected to represent the union on a committee to interview the council in regard to putting two gas rings in Jellicoe Park for the use of visitors and nicnickers, also in cases of accident. Alesdames Hunter, Lamond and Stacey were elected delegates to the district convention. An interesting talk was given by Airs. Lewin on the native tribes in South Africa and their custorrik. Songs by Miss B. Smith and a recitation by Aliss Read, a visitor from the PoTisonby branch, concluded the programme.
