* N.Z. LEAGUE TEAM SIX-POINT MARGIN SYDNEY, Wednesday. The New Zealand League footballers plavccl their last match of the Australian tour today against Australian Universities. Play in the first half favoured the New Zealanders, the spell ending with the visitors leading by eight points to two. The New Zealanders prevailed for the greater portion of the second half, but just before the finish Universities scored two tries and two goals. The final score was: New Zealanders 3 8 Universities 12 The l9cal team missed several chances through faulty passing. Broadfoot (Queensland) broke his collarbone. The best players for the winners were: Calder, Stephenson, Clark, Amos. Abbott, Seaga.r and Dufty. Universities were awarded 19 free kicks and New Zealand four. The visitors were guests at a university ball this evening. They are to sail on Friday for the Dominion. The general opinion is that the team was very unlucky .on the tour, but. it completed its itinerary and Avon the three last matches in fairly convincing style. _________________
