SWEAT-RAG ENTANGLED IN MACHINERY r ACCIDENT IN CITY WORKS i When bis sweat-rag became entangled in machinery at the Farmers' Freezing Company at about 12.30 o’clock this afternoon, Mr. J. Breen, » greaser, had his neck broken. Breen was standing on a scaffolding white-washing the walls in the Engine-room, when his sweat-rag caught in part of the machinery. He was not able to free himself and was strangled. When he was released, hiß neck was found to be broken. The unfortunate man was about 30 years of age. He was married and resided at 15 Faulder Avenue, WestMere. Brnen was last seen alive at about 10 minutes to 12. At about 12.30 he was found strangled. The discovery was made by the second engineer, mr. J. Wheatley. Breen had made a great struggle for 1118 life. His arms were twined around a railing above the shaft which 7*2 caught the rag round his neck, “id his legs were on a railing below.
