Bridge Evening At Varsity
Second Function Of Social Week MRS. R. P. TOWLE IS HOSTESS Mrs. R. P. Towle was hostess at the delightful bridge evening held at the University College last evening, the function being the second of the University social week. In the bridge room a large log fire burned brightly, and bowls of goldenyellow jonquils, Iceland poppies and tall blue irises were attractively arranged. Ali*s. Towle received the guests wearing a gown of ravenswing blue chiffon with oriental-patterned lame bridge coat. She was assisted by a committee of wives of members of the law profession, comprising Airs. A. St. C.
Brown. Airs. G. P. Finlay, Mrs. J. H. Reyburn, Mrs. H. AI. Rogcrson and Airs. J. Stanton. Airs. St. C. Brown wore a cameo pink and black georgette frock with pink chenille embossed bridge jacket. Airs. Finlay had on a smart frock of black georgette and lace. Airs. Reyburn’s gown was of vivid capucine georgette with beaded embroideries. Airs. Rogerson was in black chenille embossed chiffon, and a gown of burgundy red moire velvet had been chosen by Airs. Stanton. Among those present were: Airs. Sydney Thorne-George, Airs. Warwick Wilson. Airs. Parker. Airs. Allan Hume, Airs. J. J. Sullivan, Mrs. A. Moody. Mrs. J. T. Levin, Mrs. W. Brandor, Mrs. J. Kalman, Mrs. R. Ziman. Mrs. P. Shaw, Airs. D. Rae, Airs. H. S. Wilson, Airs. J. Alacky, Miss D. Mulgan. Aliss G. Bouisson, Aliss Fotherlngham, Aliss F. Murray, Aliss C. Alurray, Aliss Gummer, Aliss Ruth Walker.
