Mrs. L. Smith, of Dunedin, is staying at the Grand Hotel. Miss B. IT. E. Rhodes is a Wellington visitor to Auckland. * * * Mrs. E. C. Rae, of Green Lane, is on a visit to Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Broad, of Marton, are at the Royal Hotel. * * $ Mrs. Leonard Taylor, who has been the guest of Canon and Mrs. Fancourt, has returned to Feilding. * * * Mrs. W. Sumner, of Ranolf Street, Rotorua, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. R. S. Burt, of Kitchener Road, Milford. Miss F. Arnold, a missionary in India on behalf of the New Zealand Baptist Union, has arrived in Wellington on furlough. Mrs. Percy Free, of Remuera, who flew to Rotorua in Mr. E. A. C. Cowper’s do Soutter plane two weeks ago, returned to town today. * * * Lieutenant-Colonel W. F. Shakespear and Mrs. Shakespear, and Miss F. Shakespear, of Te Whanga, are among the guests at the Star Hotel. DANCING AND BRIDGE PUCCINI MUSICAL SOCIETY ENJOYABLE EVENING Oriental lamps and festoons of lycopodium, with clusters of cherry blossom, made a delightful setting at the Symondsville Studio last evening, when the Puccini Musical Society held a most enjoyable dance and bridge party. Ken Gillam’s Melody Boys played excellent dance music. The committee members present were:—Mrs. V. Bos worth, wearing a frock of black ring velvet, with a green brocaded coatee; Mrs. G.
