THE GABRi ELLA.— The Union Comnanv advises that the Gabriella will load at Newcastle early next week and complete at Sydney for Wellington, New Plymouth and Wanganui. THE ANTEN. —The Swedish steamer Anten, which'is to leave Scandinavian ports early in September for New Zealand direct, will now dscharge at Bluff, Uunedin, Wellington and Auckland, in that order. ULIMAROA FOR AU C K LAN DT:he Huddart-Parker Company s intercolonial passenger steamer Ulimaroa is to leave Svdncv omorrow afternoon with passengers, mails and cargo for Auckland. She is due here on Tuesday morning next. TURAKINA AT LONDON.— The New Zealand Shipping Company has rece vecl cabled news that the Turakina arrived at London on August S. She ington on .July 4 for London, \la the Panama Canal. NEW ZEALAND DUE SUNDAY.—To complete discharge of her cargo of bulk oil from Los Angeles., the Texas Company's chartered Norwegian tanker New Zealand is due at this port from Sydney on Sunday. She will berth at Western Wharf. THE CANADIAN CRUISER. —The Canadian National Steam Ships’ steamer Canadian Cruiser is, according to latest advice received, expected to sail for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin at noon tomorrow. HUNTINGDON AT LON DON.— -Cabled advice has been received that the Federal steamer Huntingdon arrived at London on Sunday. She was dispatched from Auckland on June IS for New York. Boston, Halifax and London, via the Panama Canal. KARTIGI’S MOVEMENTS.— The Union Steam Ship Company advises that its cargo steamer Kartigi, in continuation of her vovage from Melbourne, Devonnort (Tasmania) and Newcastle, cleared Portland at 11 o’clock last night for Wellington for further discharge of her general cargo.
PORT ALMA SAILS SATURDAY.Now at Prince’s Wharf discharging the local portion of her cargo of general merchandise from London, the Commonwealth and Dominion Line vessel Port Alma is to sail on Saturday night for Wellington and Napier to complete discharge. Her local agent is Heather, Roberton, Limited. THE WAIPAHI. —The Union Steam Ship Company advises that its Island fruit steamer Waipahi, at present at King’s Wharf, is to load general cargo and stores and sail for the Cook Islands on Thursday next. She will load another cargo of fruit for New Zealand at the Islands, her ports of call in order being.: Rarotonga, Aitutaki, Atiu and Mauke. THE WAIHEMO. —The Union Company’s trans-Pacific cargo steamer Waihemo, after having been in dock for cleaning, painting and inspection in connection with her overhaul and survey, was to undock this morning and berth at King’s Wharf to complete overhauling. She is to recommission and sails on Saturday for Vancouver direct. PENYBRYN WITH SUGAR.—Spedding. Limited, has received cabled advice from Sydney that the Norwegian steamer Penybryn, en route from Cuba to Auckland with a cargo of raw sugar, should arrive here on August 21. The vessel was to make a call at Papeete for bunkers, hut she has not been reported from there. She will berth at Chelsea Wharf to unload. TOFU A AT SUVA. —Cabled news from Suva reports the arrival there last evening of the Union Steam Ship Company’s Island passenger steamer Tofua from Auckland. The vessel left here last Saturday morning with passengers, mails and cargo on her periodic trip round the Islands. The Tofua is to resume her voyage at 4 o’clock tomorrow afternoon, clearing Suva at that hour. RAISDALE WITH HARDWOOD. Messrs. Russell and Somers have received cabled advice that the British steamer Raisdale, en route from Bunbury to Auckland with a cargo of hardwood, should arrive at this port on Sunday morning. She has been assigned a berth at Central Wharf, where she will put out the local portion of her cargo and she will later proceed to Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin to discharge the remainder. THE SCHOONER HU I A. —The Nobel auxiliary schooner Huia, which left Grafton for Auckland on Sunday morning, is expected to arrive about Tuesday. After discharge of her hardwood timber cargo the vessel will load timber at Auckland for Melbourne and also explosives for Napier. Wellington and Dunedin. From Dunedin she will proceed to Melbourne, where she will load explosives for Westport, Greymouth and Auckland. MIDDLESEX DUE TOMORROW. —According to her wireless advice the Federal Steam Navigation Company’s steamer Middlesex should arrive at this port tomorrow afternoon from Liverpool. The vessel has a cargo of general merchandise from west coast United Kingdom ports, the local consignment of which she will put out at Queen’s Wharf to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company. She later sails for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete unloading. LIMERICK DUE TOMORROW. —The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the motor-ship Limerick, now at Gisborne loading, is to leave there at 9 o’clock tonight for Auckland to complete her cargo for London only. She has been allotted a berth at Queen’s Wharf. The vessel should arrive here tomorrow evening and she is scheduled to sail finally from this port on August 20 for London, via the Panama Canal. She was originally to take in cargo for and discharge at Halifax en route, but this has been cancelled.
LADY LEWIS SAILED. —The steamer Lady Lewis sailed for New Plymouth and Wanganui yesterday afternoon to compelte unloading phosphates from Nauru Island. WAI OTA PU DEPARTS.—The Waiotapu sailed for Wellington, Melbourne, Svdnev and Newcastle last night in continuation of her voyage from Pacific Coast ports. MOTOR-SHIP CARRISO.— The American motor-ship Carriso is reported to have left Anacortes, America, on July IS for New’ Zealand. CAMBRIDGE AT LONDON. —Cabled i news has been received by the New | Zealand Shipping Company that the Cambridge, which cleared Gisborne on July 3, reached London on Sunday. MAILS ARRIVE. —The Chief Postmaster has received advice that mails which left Wellington on July 15 by the R.M.S. Makura, via San Francisco, arrived in London on August 12. THE CANADIAN CONSTRUCTOR. The Canadian National steamer Canadian Constructor, which left Auckland for New York, Boston and Montreal on July <, is reported to have reached New York last Monday. THE MAHENO. —The Union Company s Intercolonial passenger steam.er Maheno is due at Wellington from Melbourne, via Southern ports, tomorrow. She is to leave Wellington on Saturday for Melbourne, via Bluff. THE MAUNGANUI. —The Union Company's intercolonial steamer Maunganui sailed for Sydney, via Wellington, last evening. The vessel is due at Wellington tomorrow’ morning and is to leave for Sydney at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. KARAMEA LEAVES COLON. —Cabled news has been received by the Shaw. Savill Company that the motor-ship Karamea cleared Colon on August 9. She left Wellington on July 22 for London and has crossed the Pacific in IS days, her fastest time to date. THE MAH AN A. —With cargo from West Coast ports of Great Britain, the Shaw’, Savill and Albion steamer Mahana is to leave Liverpool on September 13 for Auckland. Wellington. Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. She is due at Auckland on October 21. KENT LEAVES COLON. —Cabled news has been received by the Federal Company that the Kent cleared Colon on August S. She left Wellington on July 18 for London, Avon mouth, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow. NORFOLK AT LONDON. —The Federal Company has received cabled advice that the Norfolk arrived at London on Sunday morning. She left Wellington on Julv 3 for London. Avonmouth, Liverpool. Manchester and Glasgow, via the Panama Canal. THE MATAROA. —The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Mataroa is scheduled to clear Southampton tomorrow with passengers and mail for New Zealand and general merchandise from London for discharge at Wellington and Auckland. She is due at Wellington on September 16 and at Auckland a week later. NARBADA LEAVES SINGAPORE. The Union Company’s Indian trader Narbada, en route from Calcutta and Penang, is reported to have sailed from Singapore last Monday for Samarang to complete loading Eastern produce for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff. SOLOY LEAVES GALVESTON.-The Norwegian motor-ship Soloy, 4,400 tons, is reported to have sailed from Galveston. Texas, on August 3 with a full cargo of sulphur for discharge in Australia and New Zealand. Her ports of discharge have not been announced. She is a new’ vessel, built last year. THE GOLDEN COAST. —The American steamer Goldea Coast arrived at Lyttelton from Wellington yesterday morning to continue unloading cargo from Pacific Coast ports. The vessel will complete discharge at Timaru and Dunedin and then go to Gisborne to load refrigerated cargo for America. From Gisborne she will be dispatched for Honolulu and San Francisco. THE PARRAKOOLA. Spedding. Limited, advises that the Swedish motorship Parrakoola, with cargo from European ports, Los Angeles and San Francisco, is to sail from San Francisco on August 23 for Auckland, via Niue Island. She is scheduled to call at Niue Island to load fruit on September 3. The vessel’s discharging ports are Auckland. Wellington, Brisbane and Sydney. She will not call at Bluff, as the Mirrabooka did. She is due here on September 9. REMUERA’S ALTERED SAILING DATE The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Remuera has been delaved at Lyttelton owing to wet weather. The vessel is to proceed from Lyttelton to New Plymouth to complete discharge and to commence loading for her homeward voyage. Her other loading ports are Port Chalmers, Timaru. Lyttelton, and Wellington. Owing to the delay the vessel’s sailing date from Wellington for Southampton and London is now September 2, instead of Auarust 29.
CASE OIL FROM TEXAS.— The local office of the Texas Oil Company has received advice that the steamer Callandia loaded case oil at Port Arthur. Texas, for Auckland and other ports. SV; was scheduled to leave Port Arthur last Sunday. THE TAINUI. —The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Tainui. which reached London from Nett Zealand on August a. is scheduled to clear Southampton on September 12 for Auckland and Wellinrß*.
