MAJESTIC

“LOOSE ANKLES’ A particularly brigrht comedv starring Loretta Young and Douglas Fairbanks. junr., and entitled 'Loose Ankles.” Is now at the Majestic Theatre. Ann Harper is bequeathed a million dollars, subject to a proviso in the will that she shall marry a man who meets the approval of her Aunts Sarah and Katherine. Otherwise the estate goes to other relatives, unless there is scandal in the family, in which case the deceased wills it to a cat and dog hospital. Ann and her cousin Betty plot to •compromise” Ann and force the aunts to approve of the man as a husband, to protect themselves from disinheritance by the scandal clause. They advertise for a man willing to “compromise” a girl and have a temporary marriage with her for a cash consideration. Our hero, Gil, who is considerably out of his element with three friends as a gigolo, answers the advertisement at .the urging of his companions. He meets Ann and falls in love with her in the process of “compromising” her, so that when the relatives arrive with Betty 'they find only Gil’s coat and pants there—he has dived out of the window. Several new and most enjoyable talkie featurettes will be shown on the same programme.
