TWO TRAM DERAILMENTS

Ten tramcars we're delayed when a tram was derailed at the intersection of Karangahape Road and Symonds Street shortly before 5.30 o’clock last evening. Traffic on the outward line was held up for a quarter of an hour until the tram was replaced on the rails.

Another derailment occurred just before midnight at the corner of Queen Street and Customs Street, when a car bound for the Gaunt Street depot held up five other trams on the way to the depot. It took half an liour to put toe tratA on the rails aeam.
