AORANGI STEWARD BURIED

Mr. Albert Prettejohn, the steward who died on board, the R.M.M.S. Aorangi on Saturday afternoon, was buried at Hillsborough Cemetery yesterday. The Rev. H. K. Vickery, seamen's chaplain, conducted the service at the graveside, and the “Last . Post” was sounded by a shipmate of Mr. Prettejohn. A Masonic service was afterward conducted by one of the Aorangi’s passengers. The coffin was covered with wreaths, including tributes from the master of the Aorangi, the stewards’ department, the deck department and many of the passengers. A number of passengers attended the funeral, as well as about 75 of the ship’s crew.
