The Valley team opened strongly in the second spell, and Walters, who figured prominently, looked like scoring, but McKay cleared with a welldirected kick. Apart from one or two spectacular dashes by McKenzie, in ore of which the Bay of Plenty man came near scoring, even play followed fer some time. Then Finlayson (Valley) wound up an attacking movement bv registering a nice try near the corner. Johns made a good but unsuccessful attempt to convert, and the score stood.
