LIKE FATHER—LIKE DAUGHTER
f P HERE is an oft-used expres--1 sion. “Like father like son,” but in the Speedway Handicap at Addington tomorrow it will be a case of “Like father like daughter.” The handsome American horse, Travis Axworthy, claims an engagement in the race in ques- ■ tion, and so does his brilliant daughter, Dilworth. Both are on | the same mark, 2.43, in a 244 class heat, and the meeting of the family circle will be watched with interest. Last season Dilworth scored three wins and had three other placings. while her sire scored two victories and was four times in a minor place. n this particular event tomorrow there is decidedly strong opposition, including Genuine. Carmel, Sunshower, Harold Thorpe, Native Prince. Terence Dillon and Logan Park, but if Berkett’s mare is seen fighting out the finish with her "old man and proves capable of pulling him under, there will be some exciting moments at Addington.
