ANNUAL MEETING HELD ELECTION OF OFFICERS The annual meeting of members oL the Auckland Racing Club was held yesterday afternoon, the president, Sir Edwin Mitchelson, K.C.M.G., M.L.C., being in the chair. About 70 members were present. The annual report and balance sheet (already published) were adopted. The president paid a tribute to the memory of Sir George Clifford, president for many years of the New Zealand Racing Conference. Mr. J. C. Gleeson asked it the committee was keeping the improvement of the tan track in view. The president stated that this had not been overlooked, and he said that the committee would not consider the Ellerslie tracks until the tan track had been attended to. The cost of this would be £ 4,000. The election of officers resulted as follows: President.—Sir Edwin Mitchelson (re-elected unopposed). Vice-President —Mr. H. O. Nolan (reelected unopposed). Committee. —Messrs. C. A Brown. Fred Earl, K.C., W. Clapd Motion, M. M. McCallum and Oliver Nicholson (all re-elected). The unsuccessful candidates were Messrs. T. Impey and E. A Price. Stewards. —Messrs. M. J. Lynch, W C. Ring and G. A. Wynyard (all reelected). Mr. Colin W. Anderson was the only other nominee.
