A general meeting of the A. and P Association was held on Saturday and /Was attended by 30 members.

The advisability of moving to the i acecourse for show meetings was discussed. It was decided to take a. postal ballot on the question. At a meeting of the Borough Council Mr. A. J. Denby, of Devonport, was appointed foreman out of 42 applicants. Mr. Denby has been employed by the Devonport Borough Council for some time.

The Municipal Band gave an openair concert on Herries Park on Sunday afternoon, when there was a very large attendance of the public. This band has made great improvement under the new bandmaster, Mr. MlMahon.
