WOMEN OF PACIFIC
CONFERENCE AT HONOLULU OPENED SATURDAY NEW ZEALAND IS THERE HONOLULU, Saturday. The New Zealand and Aust-ailian delegations to the Pan-Pacific Women's Conference, under the auspices o£ the Pan-Pacific Union, arrived at Honolulu yesterday. They were met'by Drs. Sweet and Osborne and Miss Jean Begg. The visitors left immediately as the guests of the executive of the conference for a 100 miles’ drive around the island. They were entertained at luncheon by the Chamber of Commerce and at a reception In the evening given by the Governor of Hawaii, Mr. Lawrence M Judd, and Mrs. Judd. Tile conference was opened this morning and in the afternoon a lawn party was held. Tomorrow afternoon there will be a reception at the PanPacific Researcli Institution and in the evening a public meeting, at which an address will be given by Dame Rachel Crowdy on the social and welfare work of the League of Nations. Eight countries are represented at the conference and there are 80 overseas delegates.
