nr Paul Fogarty, of Greymouth. has appointed house-surgeon at the WdUiigtou Public Hospital. Mr Beaumont Smith, a director of T r Williamson Films. Ltd., was a passenger on the Limited this morning.

Mr. F. W. Furkert, chief engineer to the Public Works Department, arrived on the Limited this morning.

Mr. R. M. Evans, of Leicester. England arrived from the South last evening and is staying at the Grand Hotel.

jlr. L. B. Bosher, of Sydney, arrived back from Rotorua yesterday by motor-car. 110 will proceed to Sydney by the Aorangi next week.

Mr. Vivian Riddiford, of Lower Hutt, Wellington, will arrive in Auckland by the Aorangi tomorrow and w ill stay at the Grand Hotel before proceeding South. He is accompanied by his daughters.

Archdeacon W. .T. Simkin, secretary of the Anglican General Synod, and of the Auckland Diocese, returned yesterday from a visit to Wellington on Church business.

Mr. C. M. Malfroy expects to be discharged from the Mater Misericordiae Hospital in about a week. Mr. Malfroy, who is in the State Forest Service. Wellington, was injured in a motor-car accident on July 24.

Messrs. H. G. R. Mason, W. L. Martin. M. J. Savage. W. E. Parry, W. J. Jordan, A. M. Samuel. F. Lye, and A. Harris, M.P.’s, were passengers on the Limited this morning Messrs. W. J. Broadfoot and C. E. McMillan, M.P.’s, left the train at Frankton.
