TWO DELICIOUS SWEETS
BAKEWELL TART Required; Some good pastry, some good jam, six yolks of eggs, three whites, one ounce of ground almonds, five ounces of butter, six ounces of castor sugar, lemon juice, a few slices of citron. Line a fairly shallow plate or dish with some good pastry—rough puff or short crust would do. Also, stamp out some very small rounds with a fancy cutter and put them evenly round the edge. Spread a good layer of jam at the bottom of the dish; then over this place some thin slices
