AUCKLAND RACING CLUB ANNUAL MEETING ON MONDAY Tli© annual meeting of members of th© Auckland Racing Club is to be held at 2-30 p.m. on Monday next. The venu© is the Chamber of Commerce, Swanson Street. Sir Edwin Mitchclson, K.C.M.G., M.L.C., will b© declared re-elected as president for the ensuing year, and Mr. H. O. Nolan as vice-president. Both have been re-elected unopposed. There will be an election for committee and stewards. There are seven nominations for the five vacancies on th© committee, and four nominations for th© three stewards’ seats. For the committee the following have been nominated: Messrs. C. A. Brown, Fred Earl, Iv.C., W. Claud Motion, M. M. McCallum, Oliver Nicholson (retiring committeemen), Thomas Impey and E. A. Price. Tli© four nominated for the three stewards’ seats are: Messrs. M. J. Lynch, W. C. Ring, G. A. Wynyard (retiring stewards) and Colin W. Anderson. A feature of the annual meetings of th© Auckland Racing Club is the comprehensive survey of the past year’s racing and the prospects for the new season delivered by the president. Sir Edwin Mitchelson. With the proposed new taxation on totalisator investments. and other questions that have their relation to the Turf, the presidential statement on Monday will b© awaited with the keenest interest.
