MORRINSVILLE NOTES
Mr. A. IT. Grant, of the MorrinsviiLe District High School staff, who has been appointed assistant master at the Remuera School, took up his position on August 1, but. will be returning to Morrinsville during the school holidays. Mr. R. R. Heaton, secretary of the Kereone School Committee, has received a telegram from Mr. F. Lye, M.P., stating that the Minister of Education has sanctioned a grant for erecting a teacher's residence at Kereone. The urgent need for a. third teacher at the Mangateparu School was discussed at the meeting of the committee this week. Mr. E. Hutchings presided over a full attendance. The school consists of two rooms with floor space for 68 children, but the roll number is now 99, and new pupils are being enrolled every day. Jt was decided to telegraph to the Minister of Education and to Mr. F. Lye. M.P. calling attention to the fact that the school was without a third teacher, and an additional class room, both of which -were urgently needed.
