BRITISH WORKERS DECEIVED BY U.S. WAGE-RATE HUNDREDS LAMENTING LONDON, Wednesday The police at British ports have been informed by the authorities at New York that hundreds of unemployed and destitute British subjects are hiding there waiting for a chance to stowaw-ay on liners bound for Eng land. Some of Britain’s best workers, attracted by the high wages in America, are now in dire straits there.
