OLD SOLDIERS MEET
BIRKENHEAD ASSOCIATION A largely attended meeting of exservicemen was held in the R.A.O.K. Hall, Birkenhead, last evening. It was decided to form an ex-servicemen’s association for Birkenhead and district. Officers elected were: President, Dr .J. W. Craven; vice-presidents, Messrs J. C. Yeomans, G. B. Chinnery, G. R Hutchinson, and C. G. Ashdowne; committee, Messrs. F. C. Tothill, C. Couch M. Canary, S. Carter, A. B Hopkins W. Moon. E. J. Spencer, and J. E Goulden; secretary and treasurer. Mr J. W Canty; assistant secretary, Mr T Dale; auditor, Mr. A. E. Greenslade To raise funds for the association, the committee was instructed to make arrangements for holding a ‘‘flag day.”
